The American University of Iraq-Sulaimani encourages its students to participate in the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYELP) but its Academic Calendar prevents them from participation.
The 2011 cycle of application for IYLEP has begun. AUI-S students like the other Iraqi students are applying for the program with a great deal of enthusiasm.
AUI-S Office for International Program and Exchanges office is working for the program as if it was sponsored by AUI-S publishing instructions and directions, but the 2010-2011 Academic Calendar puts the final exams on the exact day IYLEP student go to America.
The final exams for the Spring semester, according to the Academic Calendar, will start on June 25, 2011 and end on June 30, 2011.
IYLEP program usually starts on the final week of June or first week of July, which means that AUI-S students would be taking their final exams having no chance to participate in the program.
It is worth saying that this year's IYLEP might even be sooner because the holy month of Ramadan begins 10 days sooner.

this is impossible.
I suggest that auis is going to change its calender for final exams and do something interesting to its "wonderful" students.
Muhammad
we can solve this problem if it is the only one.
auis has to do something about this. i will not forgive myself if i couldn't go this year
yeah it is true that the day of IYLEP conflicts with the our callander. there is no benefit of filling out the application.
