Part I: The Tyranny of Wudel: Grazing is For the Obedient

by: Bahman A. Hassan
Those who study politics and philosophy seriously lose when they practice “the knowledge they possess”. They, due to being over skeptic, lose reality to the illusory “matters”. They, those who want to be called “philosophers”, may know the art (art of ruling), but make no use of it when comes to practice.  It is like doctors, some may learn the art but lack practicality. Ironically, like Socrates was reminded, they are “worthless at best”. When they are given chances to rule, they consciously or unconsciously establish tyrannies. As an illustration, I will take Darcy Wudel’s Tyranny at the American University of Iraq Sulaimani.

In his headquarter in the second floor of “Building B”; license of grazing is given to the “loyalists”-only. If you know how to remain near the tyrant, you will be fine. By your loyalty, which is a character found in all tyrannical regimes,

THIS PASSAGE IS REMOVED AFTTER MR. GEOFRY GRESK, THE INTERGRITY OFFICER, MADE A FORMAL COMPLAIN ON IT

On contrary, any one stands in the way of the “tyrant” will be marginalized, expelled or worse “defamed”. Your social status and job depend on your relation with the “Tyrant. The closer you are the better and more secured you will be. Like my father’s “employment” of my mother- may be other women as well- tyrants give their wives high positions, because “they are trustworthy”.

For a long time, in fact, from the time Mr. Wudel responded my friend with “FUCK YOU, I AM NOT READY TO LISTEN TO YOU” when he asked a question, I wanted to show my deep concern. No one might remember this, yet this followed by more dramatic stories. No one, so far, had “muscle in his under belly” to show the discrepancies. Things went from bad higher to worse. As the man, however with a new tittle, took Harrigan’s place failed to control the rudder.

Tyrants’ beginnings are all the same. They come at a time when the place they later rule is recovering from a lost. The same happened at the American University of Iraq Sulaimani. When James Harrigan offered fare well, anyone with a new face- even Bahman- could take his place. If this illustration is not clear, please consider the next.

I presume, you all have read Animal Farm by George Orwell, and you may remember the ruling elite of the house. Napoleon - the pig who emerges as the leader of the “Rebellion”, was the only available “dish on the minus”. The same happened at AUIS. Similarly to the farm, “no soul” had time or wit to predict the possible outcomes, yet they set the boat of a tyrant to sail with a man who has “no knowledge of the seas”.

To prove these please stay with us. Stories of The Tyranny of Wudel: Grazing is For the Obedient will continue!

What you wrote above is really true. Power is sweet.

I have only one suggestion for you, which is if you could improve your writing. Because sometimes it is difficult for me to keep reading your articles.

Such a nonsense words you put together to show how brave you are. Please, dear drink some milk since you may get hungry. You are the man of flattery, if not, why do not you say these small ideas before your close friend, Mr.Brayan fired. I am not sure for what purpose you are crying. I hope you will not cry for your grades.

you sound like a confused child. truly.

kak Bahman: I don't think it will be a great idea to post any rumors that you have heard around the campus about anyone and anything. Everyone knows that there are all kinds of ridiculous rumors all the time. Just because you write them down does not make them “facts.” I am not taking the side of any of those professors you accuse, but I am taking the side of reality and truth. We journalists should understand that we have great responsibilities when we write and publish every single word. Thus, I don't think it is a great idea, again, to follow what he or she claimed. Words can damage people as badly as weapons, and right now you are firing without even thinking!

do you think that making things up is going to work out for you? Oh! Yes, maybe in kurdistan ;) What a great representative!

Dear Friends,

I am sorry to delete anyone’s comments, but I have to do so if there is insulting because "individual attacking" is not allowed! Again, please respect your friends while expressing your ideas.

Your helping is highly appreciated,
Karwan Gaznay

But Kak Karwan the article is individual attacking so, your rules do not have logic.

I respect Bahman because he fights and does not flatter but I can not and will not insult him. But today I cannot respect the words on his page.

What i found out in this university that a group of students has nothing to do but attacking others by rumors. it just encourages more caous on the campos. If you dont like this university, you can leave it easily. Just grow up young philiosophers

I am quite sure those who made the decision to suspend one of the greatest professors ever in Iraq know more about Black Smith on the Street than Bryan Smith at AUIS. They didn’t understand the case at all.
The Third Eye always makes Mastaw for the University!!!!!!!!!

such a nasty blog from a nasty person... act like a man not a child!!! when u become a man, then u can talk!!!

Dear Bahman ,
Fist, if you had a bad experience with Dr. Darcy, then that is your own problem. It does not mean that this is the way Dr. Darcy acts with everybody all the time. it is bravery of you to express your opinion, yet you could have been more polite or deplomatic so people gladely read what you wrote.
Second, you mentioned something about Peter's scandal. I just want to aske you one question: HAV YOU EVER TALKED TO PETER???? I believe that if you want to know Peter well, you can just talk to the students who have been with him more than any others. I had taken his classes for English Composition and Theater for a whole semester. I also have been working with him in the Drama Clup for a very long time, and I believe that it is unfortuanate for you that I have never noticed any thing about him that could create a scandal. Even though I have no idea about what you are going to write about, I know that they will be nothing but words. Just to keep your reputation safe!, please make sure that what you are writing is the truth. I am very sorry that the Students Eye is being misused this way.
Be courageous enough to not remove this post.

Oh Yeah, that’s absolutely right baby. AUIS is full of Mastawchy, and Klawchy. The majority of the students know about these pets of AUIS.

In everywhere, every place, every university, every organizations, and even in every family, there are two types of people, brave people who don’t accept unfairness, and they criticize, and those who is afraid to speak.Well done guys,

thats right

After some "Fsha Fsha", the brave man delete his nonsense words. I do not know for what reason you deleted the words. Dear, If I were you, I would never open my eyes to see my friends since you did no thing. Dear Bahman, your childish act only shows your weakness. Do you remember that those who regret are never appreciated since it is a sign of weak people. see what great mistake you did in a short period of time. You lost your reputation among AUIS students, and even if I support your case fist, I feel ashamed that I did. I hope I would never do it again since your not a man of great things, you cannot hold big responsibilities..

Anonymous said...

Kak Karwan do you only delete comments when they are against you? Do you or do you not see Someone call Sahar a pet? You aer worthless!Delete that!

Anonymous said...

call them "pets" if you wish - but at least they've been raised by humans, unlike the the poor pack of animals dying to get noticed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is not the way to help your village!!!

Anonymous said...

Please, please do not attack Karwan and Bahman. I absolutely defend their right to say whatever they want regardless how rediculous it is or how far from reality it may be. If I want to sound ignorant and stupid then no one can take this right away from me. It is my rights!!!! so, please, be quiet!!!!!

Way to go, Bahman. I agree with you and I am so proud of you for speaking out against the Great Tyranny. You are my brother and I support you soooooo much. I just wish I could understand what you are trying to say.

Bahman,

Great article! it is so full of feekle matter that I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work and keep that feekle matter coming, will you?

I thought grazing was for sheep but you have proven yourself to not be a sheep which makes me support you because you are such a great fighter and you speak the truth and we really support you. But I think cows do more grazing than sheep so you should correct this please. But if you want to be a sheep, I defend your right to be so.

Dear Anonymous,
A pet ???!!! you are calling me a pet !!! ? hhhhhhhhhhhh at least I had the courage to mention my name at the end of my comment. That reflects your morality. I am sorry that this blog is being misused this way.. It is in the hand of some children. All I can say is that TYPICAL PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE EVERYWHERE.....

Dear Sahar Jamal,

I would like to thank you for your nice words, and I am so happy by getting this direct feedback from you. I feel you, and I know some comments have frustrated you, but that does not mean that this is my fault because I cannot delete peoples’ comments if there is not direct “individual attacking.” What you wrote is your opinion, and I accept it tolerantly; I do respect everyone’s ideas.

Accept my friendship words,
Karwan Gaznay

Anonymous said...

No one mentions who is a pet,,,but, all students know that there are many pets at AUIS,,and it’s not necessary to write their names…. because everyone knows who is a pet, and,, for those who don’t know just look at the previous comments,.. and You Will easily recognize them By that////

Anonymous said...

Karwan, what you just wrote indicates a serious double standard in how you categorize an individual attack.

It's because you are morally perverted or mentally incapable. Probably a combination of both.

My dear friend, your words are your best gift for me because I can realize that there is something bad is going with me.
I do not support anyone, but I am ready to die for those who want to speak freely.
Student Eye is the house for all of you-if you accept it- to express what you want, so freedom is not limited in the Student Eye if one is not trying to insult someone else.
Please, please, please, please do not get the objective of the Student Eye wrong; we are here to fight for the best for the great student at AUIS not more than this, never.

Again, your beautiful words are wholeheartedly accepted,
Karwan Gaznay

To Mr. Bahman,
Dear Bahman,
I have one thing to tell you.
I think that YOU are wasting a lot of your time writing about AUI-S teachers and Inteructuers because we all know who is good and who is bad. So, Please, your time is important, DO NOT use it on silly things that gives you no benefit. Make a good use of your time. please we all know what you write.
