Local Media Covers AUI-S Students Protests Against the Wrong Decision

protest at AUI-S 

The Local Iraqi and Kurdish media covered today's protest against the removal of Sulaimani from the official name of the American University of Iraq-Sualiamani.

Sbeiy website quotes Rand Khalifa, an AUI-S student saying, "If they didn't change their mind, our teachers will join us in protesting as well."


Shalaw Fatah, another AUI-S student, told Awena  newspaper, "We have announced 'We Love Sulaimani' campaign to protest this unwise decision. But if they didn't change their mind, we will have other responses."

Elia Boggia, AUI-S Communications Director tells Kurdiu website, "There is no decision right now to change the name."
